About This Place

Nestled in the heart of San Antonio’s vibrant Broadway corridor, Soluna offers an exceptional Mexican dining experience that masterfully blends traditional flavors with a contemporary twist. This charming restaurant is a culinary gem where every dish tells a story, capturing the spirit and richness of authentic Mexican cuisine with a refined, modern touch.

From the moment you step inside Soluna, you are embraced by a warm, inviting atmosphere filled with the lively energy of friendly service and genuine hospitality. The dining room buzzes with convivial chatter, making it an ideal setting for both intimate dinners and spirited gatherings. Guests often praise the attentive, professional waitstaff who enhance the experience without overshadowing the relaxed ambiance.

Soluna’s menu is a celebration of Mexican culinary artistry, offering everything from comforting classics to exquisite seafood specialties. Among the standout dishes, the Chispas — delicate, flavorful little tacos — are a must-try, praised for their exquisite balance of textures and bold seasoning. The Enchiladas Soluna and Lobster Enchiladas present a symphony of rich sauces and perfectly cooked fillings that delight the palate. For those seeking seasonal specialties, the Chile En Nogada offers a festive taste of Mexican tradition, beautifully marrying sweet, nutty, and savory notes.

No visit to Soluna would be complete without savoring their handcrafted cocktails. The Chispa Margarita and Margaritas Tradicionales are expertly balanced, uplifting bright citrus flavors with just the right hint of spice — the ideal complement to the vibrant meal. Start your evening with the Ceviche Blanco, a refreshing appetizer bursting with ocean-fresh shrimp and crisp, tangy accents or indulge in the Ribeye Parrillada, a perfectly grilled steak served alongside creamy mashed potatoes and traditional sides that pay homage to the Mexican parrilla tradition.

The sensory experience extends beyond taste — the aroma of grilled chilies and fresh herbs mingles with the tantalizing scent of warm tortillas made in-house, promising every bite is made with care and passion. The accompanying sides, like the plantains and perfectly seasoned rice, add subtle layers to the overall flavor profile, ensuring each plate is a harmonious composition.

Customers often remark on the scope and authenticity of Soluna’s offerings. Guests rave about the homemade tortillas, both corn and flour, and the remarkable mole sauce that sings with complexity and depth. The Shrimp Nachos and Lump Crab Avocado appetizers showcase creativity while maintaining traditional elements, making for a memorable start to any meal.

While the lively atmosphere brings an energetic vibe, some patrons have found the noise level to be on the louder side, a small trade-off for the vibrant, convivial spirit that fills the space. The outdoor patio, in contrast, provides a tranquil oasis perfect for soaking in San Antonio’s pleasant evenings with a beautifully crafted dinner and cocktail in hand.

Ultimately, Soluna stands out as a destination for those eager to dive deep into Mexican cuisine that is both authentic and thoughtfully elevated. Its combination of expertly prepared dishes, warm ambiance, and attentive service makes it difficult to resist returning again and again. Whether you’re craving the smoky warmth of the Chile Poblano Al Carbon Dinner or the fresh zest of a Cocktail De Camaron, Soluna invites you to indulge your senses in a culinary journey that’s as vibrant as Texas itself.

For an unforgettable taste of Mexico in San Antonio, Soluna promises more than just a meal — it delivers a heartfelt celebration of food, culture, and community.

First time at Soluna and my husband and I really loved the warm welcoming,we had a nice and professional waiter, the food was good, the guacamole too much for us. But the little tacos was so delicious. Bad point again for us,the restaurant is too loud otherwise it nice place to eat for any group! I recommend

Homemade tortillas, both corn and flour. The best mole I've had in this city and a friendly staff are just a few of the treasures. Duck, lobster and a variety of Mexican delights? Yes please! Just go.. you won't be disappointed

First time dining here, the salsa with chips was excellent, orange tinged salsa was exceptional. We ordered the spinach enchiladas and shrimp lobster enchiladas, both were great tasting, excellent sauce, plantains were perfect plus the rice was just right.

Food is always fantastic. The patio is beautiful. Inside is lovely. Service is always SO great and friendly. Did I mention the food being excellent? I've had the seafood enchiladas, shrimp enchiladas, ceviche blanco, beef fajita quesadilla, guacamole... you name it, it"s good! And the Chispas!?! Must have!

We’ve eaten here several times. It’s been a few years since we’ve eaten here. Never disappointed with the food or the atmosphere.

Love the food here, especially the Chicken Enchiladas Verde! The strawberry Chipas is wonderful. The service has been lacking the last few times we have gone. The atmosphere is noisy inside, if the weather is nice ,I recommend the patio. Parking is somewhat limited, the plaza is small. Reservations are not needed unless you are a large group!
